Dragon
Unfortunately seen by mortals as mindeless fire-breathing beasts, dragons are creatures of myth and magic whose capabilities go far beyond that of the legends. After being hunted to near-extinction by the original order of Clear-Sky Knights, they've gone into hiding and to many are considered truly gone from the world.

Common Myths and Legends
They say dragons were the first creatures to harness the power of the elements. In the aftermath of the First Storm, beasts moulded from shed scales of the Flesh of the World took shape and fed upon the scattered parts of the eldritch who bore closest witness to the birth of Atmos. Those hungry scales were the first dragons, imbued with elemental energy and a strange resilience to harm that very few other creatures could match. It allowed them to lose entire limbs and survive, then to collect those lost parts and reattach them with their magic. It didn't come without its own pains of course, but that's how the legends of dragons forging new wings for themselves from the flames of phoenixes came to be.
