Sorcerer

Someone who is or becomes naturally imbued with raw magical power. This can happen due to a person's parentage; those with divine, demonic, or draconic bloodlines are statistically more likely to be born with some form of innate magical power, with many not showing signs until their teens. This power is often beyond the control of the young sorcerer when they first manifest; those who grow up outside of a family or culture that knows to prepare potential sorcerers for what's coming run a high risk of accidental destruction. As such, in many places in Daearen sorcerers are feared and thus, marginalized.   A person who stumbles into an area of highly concentrated wild magic might find themselves spontaneously developing powers as well. Depending on length and severity of exposure, these may be temporary or more permanent, and strength seems to depend on exposure time as well. All study indicates that prolonged exposure is ultimately as good as fatal, however, as mortals have rarely, if ever, been known to be able to contain such high concentrations of magical power. In extreme cases strange mutations have been known to happen, as well as temporal or mental displacement and loss of corporal form.
