Rock Person
Basic Information
Anatomy
On the outside, Rock People appear to just be large stone bipedal humanoids. However, this is merely an exterior chassis that holds their core. Their core, often referred to as their soul, is a mass of energy equivalent to both a heart and a brain. Once attached to a piece that will eventually be designated as its chest, a Soul will slowly weave veins of energy throughout the chest and into the rest of the body once the Rock Person finds suitable rocks for its body.
Genetics and Reproduction
While Rock People can replace certain parts of their body freely, their chest is a one-time deal. When a Rock Person eventually grows very old and their chest degrades, their soul will decide its time to move on, and will part from their old body. From there, the soul will travel across whatever planet they expired on to find a new suitable chest piece. This is an extremely straining process for the soul, and even if it finds a new body quickly it will almost always lose its memory and even some motor functions gained in its previous life.
Growth Rate & Stages
Rocks are considered adolescents until they form their complete body, which usually takes no longer than a year. After that, they tend to expire naturally after about 500 years.
Ecology and Habitats
Rocks thrive anywhere with a solid terrain.

Social Structure
Since their creation, the hierarchy of Rock People depend completely on their bodily makeup. Rocks that are considered lower-class are made completely of stone, or other earth-colored rocks. The more of their body that consists of gems, the higher-up they are considered. However, Rock People that are made up of Diamond or Obsidian are considered the highest on the Rock Person hierarchy, trumping other gemstones entirely.
