Tirian Dwarf
Tirian Dwarf Details
Dwarves that originated from Metiria are known as Tirian Dwarves.
Legends say that they emerged from chaotic magics from warring elements on Metiria intertwining in the sands and seas surrounding the island paradise. Supposedly the sands gave them flesh, and the sea their blood. The reason this legend persists is because they appear to have an affinity for angling, sailing, and naval combat, as well as being able to drink salt water for hydration without suffering any dehydrating side-effects. Often one finds that Tirian Dwarves naturally gravitate towards positions like captain, helmsmen, angler, and shipwright. They tend to be rather emotive, risk-prone, and rebellious, much like the seas themselves.
In Metiria, they would build homes on the shore of the island, so close to the ocean so often that the homes would typically be built with the expectation of the tide coming in to cover the floor of their homes.
Masculine Tirian Dwarves often grow long beards while more feminine ones grow their hair extremely long in proportion to their height (often to the point where it drags on the floor), with both typically adorning their hair in shells, beads, and wooden totems.
