Tiefling

Tiefling Details

Tieflings originated from Kerine. Like some other races, there are no Tirian Tieflings, so all Tieflings originated from Kerine.

Tieflings are, essentially, humanoids that have been touched by the different Braumfaturas (or Hells). This means that Tieflings could originate from any race or lineage, just that their bloodlines have been altered by hellish influence. They can either appear as a miracle (or curse) during birth by chance, or simply the result of coupled Tieflings themselves.

While Tieflings have no true place of origin they call home, they are often populated in towns and city-centers across Kerine. Tieflings tend to form tight-knit communities with one another to avoid stray persecution because of their lineage within these towns and cities. Because of the diverse perspectives that Tieflings can originate from, they have no history of culture. However, they tend to believe strongly in ‘found families’, and often form families within communities via name changing and shared camaraderie. Occasionally Tieflings keep the surnames of the families they’ve descended from, but often they embrace a new surname which represents a characteristic or value that they or their group hold dear and paramount.

The intensity the hellish influence is determined by the Braumfatura that has taken an interest in the individual or bloodline, which has made Tieflings a particular curiosity to those of The Doctrine of Hell & Earth.

Tieflings influenced by Thendri tend to have more reddish skin of varying tones, horns that tend to be smooth and curve downward, and scales or scutes along various parts of their body usually bearing the color and texture of either a precious metal or stone. Tieflings influenced by Genniks tend to have a slight greenish hue to their skin or a green birthmark, small rigid horns or no horns at all, and a tail similar to that of a lion. Tieflings influenced by Halthyr have more bluish/purple colored skin of various intensities, horns that curve upwards in elaborate and excessive patterns, and have arrow-pointed devil-like tails (They have also been reported to have heterochromia more often). Tieflings influenced by Vantis tend to have more prominent fangs and claws, horns that appear more like antlers, more hair about their bodies, and inconsistent tail anatomy that holds no pattern. Tieflings influenced by Saer tend to have a paler complexion, appear to have more chitin on their appendages, have completely blackened eyes (sometimes bearing two sets of eyes), and can occasionally have vestigial clear, film-like wings not unlike many insects.
