CWP Home Minister

Elected by the Commonwealth of Nations collective parliament ministers after they are elected themselves in their local consistuancy

The duty of the Home minister is to manage all internal affairs amongst the CoNs members and manage the smooth running of the empire with minimal disruptions, as such they are also in charge of the CoN wide police to quell any and all threats to parliment and its people

Inter-nation negotiations is the largest part of any Home Ministers job, making sure the larger nations liek the Italians, French and Dutch don't try to bring down the empire from the inside when they don't get their way and making sure the smaller members such as Gujarat, Malaya, Argentina etc get their fair share of the new colonial land being carved up in the galaxy. Occassionally the home minister will directly interfere in member states policies that are deemed a sufficient threat to the wider security of the empire such as the vetoing of nationalisation of industries that would effect other members and laws that would set up rival security organisations to the Commonwelath police.

The Home Minister is the most recalled from office by parliment being by far the most unpopular of the top three, whenever they are failing in their roll or have become unpopular for other reasons, but examples throughout history have shown many young Foreign Ministers returning later in life to the same job roll.

Knicknamed the bobby boss the Home Minister is reviled by all socialist leaning organisations and people within the CoN who are regular beaten and their organisations squashed by the armed police present in every town, trainstation and port across the CoN. In times of great political upheaval such as the 1982-83 international strike the first holder of the title used the new found emergency powers to lie to trade unions and start up negotiations gathering all the leaders into a negotiation room and shooting them all instead before beginning bombing campaigns on striking workers homes while they had been secretly mass importing of forgein labour using the Royal Navy to work as scabs on key industies, often against their will, therby enforcing the commonwealths iron grip on power fot the next 5 centuries. His name is now synonymus with treachery, such that by the 2100s broken promises by the government are known as Wormwords
