Magic Abound
"Life is extra exciting when everyone has a bit of magic."
The First People were the direct creation of the Deities. These who first walked on Therador were made of almost pure magic and this creation process gave them a magic latency. This was past down through the bloodlines and as the First People evolved into the known races of Therador this birthright continued.
Manifestation
Every sentient creature whose lineage traces back to the First People has a trace of the magic of creation in their blood. Which means every sentient creature has access to a small bit of magic. This appears in the form of a single cantrip. Only a precious few have the ability to use this magic more than once a day. There is no rhyme or reason to which cantrip a given person will have access to.
Localization
Only those who can trace their lines back to the First People. Any being who came from elsewhere cannot claim this gift. But any progeny of theirs created with one who is of Therador will be able to claim this birthright in full
There are legends that there are rituals parents can perform that will enhance the birthright granted to all of Therador. Those with true power never reveal whether this is possible and the lack of denial has only allowed this belief to continue
DnD 5e Mechanics
Every Character who has at least one line to one of the First People gains the feat Birthright of Therador and gains access to 1 lvl 0 Cantrip usable once a day.
Feat- True Child of Therador
Cantrip selected with Birthright of Therador is now Usuable three times a day.
