Summer Camp 2025 prep

Summer Camp kinda snuck up on me this year. I've been busy teaching myself to draw digitally for the last couple of months, and before that I wrote a lot of raw text that hasn't left Google Drive, so fixing and revamping my Fey world actually makes a lot of sense.
It'll be at the same time, I'm gonna give ArtFight a go, so my focus will be split, but it might be what I need to get back to writing again :)   Two years ago, I got Gold on my first world, Star Tiger. Last year, I went for Diamond, only to get Silver, and I think Silver is the realistic choice for this year too, but maybe I'll get pleasantly surpriced.  

Week 1: Nourishment

Assignment 1: Think about ways the theme of Nourishment affects your world. Do people generally have what they need? What happens when they don't?

An interesting subject, because even though Unveiled/The Fey Among Us has all the possibilities of the modern world, some Fey creatures have different needs of nourishment, that need to be defined.
As well I have Otherworld. How do people live and eat there?

Week 2: Roots

Assignment 1: Look at the cultures and areas you’ll focus on for Summer Camp, and think about how their past shaped them.

I have big holes in this, so it's another theme to look forward to.
What was my world like before The Unravelling?
What is it like now around the globe?
How does clashes between human and fey cultures look?
What are the specific ways human society limit fey culture's possibilities to express itself?
How does life look to those who return to Otherworld?

Week 3: Metamorphosis

Assignment 1: What transformations and adaptations have the people in your world gone through? What changes are going on right now… and who is trying to stop them?

Okay, so this is perfect for my world. Not only is the transformation from Changeling to full Fey a major part of my characters' lives, but so is growing up and figuring out who you want to be in your world.
As is the question of how this changes and evolves the world around them.
How does society expand and evolve when magic enters the mix?
How do we coexist with Mares eating our dreams
How does it feel to go from a selv-serving individual to becoming a Banshee, driven to seek out and feed on sorrow?
There are many questions concerning Metamorphosis in The Fey Among Us, and few have been answered or given a simple explanation.

Week 4: Tomorrow

Assignment 1: Think about current events that will impact the future. Who is working to create a specific kind of future?

Ooh, interesting. My girls have an intrinsic fear of 'tomorrow'. They are Changelings now, but are expected to become full fey, but it is a lottery. How monstrous do you get? How much do you remain yourself?
Then there is the curious case of Alea. A girl who protects her friends from a monster, and many big players, who take notice. Did she start her path to true Destiny? She doesn't think so - she doesn't want so. Yet the Asir dream of another Hero's Tale, and darker powers dream of taking control of that Destiny as well.
