Tahort
History
Tahort was a major city in North Quentar that served as a regional hub and trade centre for many years. On the shores of a large lake and the confluence of several rivers, Tahort received a huge amount of river-borne trade, especially from the mines and quarries of the surrounding mountains.
Before the Empire of Ghassum controlled the regional, it was part of a large rural-urban conurbation that surrounded the lake and was the home of many people and several religious sites. During the Ghasscari period, the town developed into a large city and market-hub known as Tarorium. It featured the largest temple-complex and imperial palace north of Vysilia and was the centre of governance in the north half of the empire, especially under the Imperati Seneci, who had his residence and office there.
After the Bu'uriath invasion of North Quentar, the city of Tarorium was severely depopulated and became known as Tahort. It became the capital of the Bu'uriath kingdom of Venonia.
