Haulkun-Orks (How-l-kun)
Haulkun, also called Orks, arose in Parvalia and are among it's native inhabitants, alongside the goblinoids and the giants. Although as ancient as the Elves, their histories are not nearly so long because they do not have the long lifespan. Created as slaves of the Old Ones, to work in their mines and on their buildings, Orks have often been exploited ever since. This is partly due to their low intelligence, and partly due to their tendency towards infighting. But, with the industrialization of Wisland: Orks found themselves united by something far greater than tribe, and found members of other races willing to stand beside them proudly as allies. They sent their exploiters fleeing back across the sea, and then turned to defeat their cruel creators. For Haulkhoch, the Revolution was nothing short of a revelation: from the smallest Orkling up to and including their god Ngohta. Once, Ngohta taught that Orks would always be abused unless they were stronger than their would-be abusers. He taught that Ork women should be made to bear as many children as possible, and that those children should be tested from the day they were born. He taught that only the strongest should survive. But Ngohta has changed his teaching, moved by the solidarity that outsiders showed to his people and by the prayers of human soldiers who adopted his worship out of devotion to General Kaybok. He now sends out his agents to teach those who are still treated unjustly what they deserve and how to fight for it. His cult has grown rapidly, and with Wisland's takeover of Oston has made it outside of Parvalia. Ngohta and his Orks are doing better than ever under socialist rule, and are not about to let anyone stop the good times from rolling either.
