Selune is a goddess of the Faerunian pantheon and the eleven race, Selune is sometimes referred to as the Moonmaiden or Our lady of silver. Selute holds the power of the mystical moon and with this she can control the tides that are used to snap the planet, being a member of the greater gods means that she is revered by thouse that come across her and also worshiped by a very many of the elven kind. Selune also has influence over the good and neutral lycanthropes because of her control over the moons power she is able to take away some of there blood lust and anger and bring them back from the brink of madness as the moon phases.
It is said that the Goddess Selune has many forms as dose the moon and shifts between theses with the moon phases, Selune's personality also changes with the different phases of the moon as she can be warm and giving and one point and distant and cold then next.
Selune dose not reside in the realm of the gods with the rest but in her own realm isolated from the rest as a testament to her defiance of there decision to withdraw from the realm of the races. This realm is called The Gates of the Moon and allowed her to freely watch over her children.
Selune was one of the gods that stood against the darkness and held this back for many year and as on of the greater goddesses if a time comes when this darkness returns she will be needed again.
Selune gift her most devote followers with the ability to use the skill Holly Ward to dispel dark familiars .
Some who are under her protection are able to summon moon-motes to guid the to the destination.
Patrons of Selune are able to use the spell Protection form Evil with no cost.
