Old Sovarkan
A land troubled by the lingering magics of ancient Carcosa, the forest is stunted unusually prone to blights, sickness and disease. The land reels under the lineage of Ythillian curses sewn during the Cassildan Betrayal, fed by the nascent magics of the Shroud. The residents of any permanent settlement seem to quietly waste into the barren landscape, perhaps poisoned by the local waters conspicuously avoided by the Sovarkani wagon people and Temishan horseriders who regularly pass through. Whatever blights stunt the trees has also kept the roads of Pre-Fall Sovarkan relatively clear, allowing a Nomad way of life to continue.
