Light

The Brilliance of Day Light is one of the primordial domains, twin to Darkness, most often aligning with deities of life, cleansing and heat. Light is the 'good sister' of darkness and the cousin of fire, bringing heat, warmth and salvation to Geron's lands. Without light, the dark and cold and damp would wither away all but the most reclusive life from the world.

Light is an ancient and simple Domain, allowing those who practice it to be both a beacon of light and to thrive from being within the light. All Light Magic is Brightened magic at no additional casting cost, making it extremely effective against Dark things. Inversely, the wielder of Light is a Bright thing themselves, benefiting in one way or another from the three signs of the Mark of Light during the day or in brightly lit spaces.

Mark of Light
  Magic wielders who suffer the Mark of Light become Brite things, radiating light like any other Brightened object would. For each point spent on mage class skills, the character exudes equivalent brightness, following all the normal rules for lighting. This makes it difficult for those with the Mark of Light to hide, but also provides constant illumination to the space around them. This also means that Dark magic causes damage to those with the Mark of Light up to as many points as they are Brite.

The Mark of Light has three signs, Shining Soul, Bright Solace and and Dark Embrace.

SHINING SOUL
  Being in a Dark tile causes you to lose Willpower and Presence points equal to the Darkness of the tile you're in. You can only lose as much Willpower as you have points in Shining Soul. You regain the points as soon as you are no longer in the Dark tile.

Being in a Bright tile causes you to gain Willpower and Presence points equal to the Brightness of the tile you're in. You can only gain as much Willpower as you have points in Shining Soul. You lose the points as soon as you are no longer in the Bright tile. You may only spend as many points gained this way each day as you have points in Shining Soul.

Dancing Light
  Being in Dark tile causes you to lose Coordination and Perception points equal to the Darkness of the tile you're in. You can only lose as much Coordination and Perception as you have points in Dancing Light. You regain the points as soon as you are no longer in the Dark tile.

Being in a Bright tile causes you to gain Coordination and Perception points equal to the Brightness of the tile you're in. You can only gain as much Coordination and Perception as you have points in Bright Senses. You lose the points as soon as you are no longer in the Bright tile. You may only spend as many points gained this way each day as you have points in Bright Senses.

Sun's Confidence
  Being in a Dark tile causes you to lose Strength and Cunning points equal to the Darkness of the tile you're in. You can only lose as much Strength and Cunning as you have points in Sun's Confidence. You regain the points as soon as you are no longer in the Dark tile.

Being in a Bright tile causes you to gain Strength and Cunning points equal to the Brightness of the tile you're in. You can only gain as much Strength and Cunning as you have points in Sun's Confidence. You lose the points as soon as you are no longer in the Bright tile. You may only spend as many points gained this way each day as you have points in Sun's Confidence.
