Fjordland folk

"Few people are as stubborn, as proud and as tough as the dwarvish kin. What they lack in vertical height they more than make up for in cunning, strength and skill. The dwarven cultures differ quite drastically as they are very geographically distanced and have very little in the ways of cultural exchange. Despite this there are some fundamental parts of dwarven culture that resonates through all the different clans and dwellings, leading some to believe that all dwarven tribes stem from one ancient and vast dwarven empire. An empire now long forgotten."

In the mystical fjordlands surrounding the highland mountanchain lives a peculiar breed of dwarves. A folk of proud tradition and lorekeeping. They are equally known for their friendliness as they are for their secrecy. Many whaling crews have been greeted by the fjord-folks’ songs as their vessels sail the glacial waters, but all too many have then been met by their silence when asking one question too many about their culture. So the friendly fjordland folk have through the ages cultivated a reputation of being terrible conversationalists yet no people are found to be more kind and compassionate. The Fjordfolk are small creatures with rounded facial features, pale skin and often white or blonde hair. They live both above and below ground. Their cities often seen from the outside as a grouping of small stone dwellings built into the mountainsides, consist of many tunnels and burrows often connecting family homes with each other. often dress in either beautiful colored homespun or more plain and practical sealskin clothing.
