The Rhoderod people are native to the Silvian island of the same name, Elves who managed to endure through the Great Sangfroid War almost unharmed.

Fashion

The Elves of Rhoderod value their sense of fashion, showing off more than their cousins do. Presentation is key, noticeable in the more vibrant clothes and stylistic hairstyles many have.

Significance of shoulders

Amongst nobility and royalty, shoulder guards alongside long cloaks are a status symbol for one's significance and wealth in society. The wider the pauldrons, the more important one is, with extreme cases going as far to double or even triple the width of one's figure due to it. To walk with exposed shoulders is to declare yourself impoverished amongst the Rhoderod.

Such pointed shoulder guards are combined with a long cloak to hide the rest of the figure, appearing bigger as a result. Decorating the inside of the fabric with crests and other symbols is also a fashion style to show whenever the cloak is left open.

Technology

Thanks to their endurance through the age of silence, Rhoderod was able to keep up their magic advances after the war. Nowadays, the region is home to some of the most understood knowledge of magic and its applications in daily life.

Transportation, organisation, medical treatments like prosthetics and curing lesser ailments have been revolutionised thanks to their understanding of ties between body and magic. One outlier is their development of automaton technology, magic-powered machinery known for their flexible and multi-jointed limbs, used for both security and aid.

However, the past forty years have hit a wall, leading to stagnation in their technology ever since. Advances are slow and few between, having the world slowly catch up on them to the dismay of some. It does not stop them though, still searching for that one breakthrough.
