The Goddess Katran reaches out to the Birdfolk of Squal and bestows the first Starmark and starcharts to the Owlin, specifically a young Owlin called Huut Masteer, along with the first message to be delivered to the planet of Barna to a Gnome named Liki Astridguard. Huut began training with the new divinie relic first through the narrow mountain passes of Squal, and then along Zephyr's Asteroid Belt. Taking nearly 3 years to perfect the process. Once he was ready, Katran guided him to Barna. Once Huut arrived, he sought out Liki, which was difficult in itself, narrowly avoiding capture for his alien nature by the local populace, he delivered her the message around 4 months after leaving his homeworld. The First Message of the Gods is highly suspected to be the secret of Expansial travel, bestowed to great Gnomish inventor Liki Astridguard, who created the first mortal TEV.
The Owlin, Huut Masteer, of Squal use the first Starmark to travel from Zephyr to Augla to deliver The First Message of the Gods of Caelum
The Gnomes and Halflings broker an official unification of their peoples.
The Perdente Alliance begin exploring The Expanse around them, discovering the Orcs of Cerkell nearby, still highly primitive they begin examining them from afar. Some of their recon TEVs were destroyed or lost power and resulted in them going MIA. These TEVs would eventually crash land on planets across The Expanse, and would begin to be reverse engineered by the native species. This would lead on to the first successful launches of TEVs for races across The Expanse over the next 200 years.
The primary groups involved in this war were:
The Amalgamate forms after coming to a peaceful conclusion of the First Expansial War, uniting against the Draconid Concordat who they realised threatened them much more than their new allies.
Also known as the 300 year war; this conflict primarily occurred between The Amalgamate and Draconid Concordat. Although its duration was long, only one large battle (The Battle of Cileam) would have severe losses on both sides - and after 300 years of skirmishes over sectors; an agreement was reached.
The Draconid Concordat used Orbital Bombardment of such magnitude against the defending forces of The Amalgamate on the planet Cileam, it resulted in the planet exploding into a cracked fragmented mass. The Draconid Concordat argue the Giff's storage of vast quantities of gunpowder resulted in the destruction, whereas The Amalgamate refuse to acknowledge the severe use of force on a partially civilian populated homeworld planet as acceptable. This forced the Giff to become nomadic on their TEVs, with those who liked to have a place to call home, eventually moving to the Omphalos. The Giff long for a new planet to call home, and their search continues to this day.
The Amalgamate and Draconid Concordat met in somewhat neutral space - held by the Caelcum Chivalric on the planet of Cerkell. The terms of the peace treaty ceased all current conflict and set in stone areas of no mans expanse as well as setting out areas of controlled expanse. It also ended with The Amalgamate gaining a new race joining them, the Orcs of Cerkell, whom they took under their wing after the Perdente Alliance had merely left them to their own devices. The treaty was signed under the blessing of Prashal, the god of Peace.
This near 1000 years of peace and prosperity resulted in huge technological advancements across the board, bringing most sentient races up to Expansial travel, and joining one of the major organisations of The Expanse.
The Dragonfolk of Thaczil are in a civil war over how to behave, which has massively impacted the Draconid Concordat's functionality. Some other races in the Concordat are acting independently and breaking the Peace Treaty of Cerkell's terms. The conflict is ongoing and worryingly, does not seem to have a clear end in sight - until it is resolved, the other members of the Concordat run amok.
The Birdfolk of Squal are assisted by the Perdente Alliance technologically, finally gaining TEVs that can function for larger groups, and makes the lives of all Birdfolk easier through automation and industry.
The Amalgamate have blocked off the warmongering Dakar sector of space, allowing only permitted TEVs travel and access.
The Gods of Caelum stopped sending messages, and no one has heard from them outside of Caelum since.
The Inventions of the Perdente Alliance introduced a mere 1000 years prior resulted in a horrible pollution into the atmosphere. Resulting in the loss of the surface to The Smog. The Aarakocra and Owlin created Spire Cities atop the spires that formed The Net, and the Kenku used the Smog Suits from the Perdente Alliance to continue operating out of the protective bunkers and shelters.
The Draconid Concordat have started military action against The Amalgamate once more, cutting off access to the Orc homeworld of Cerkell. They attack trading vessels and transport ships belonging to both The Amalgamate and the Perdente Alliance seemingly indiscriminately, even outside of Draconid Sectors. This is creating massive tension, and the Perdente Alliance now seek to join The Amalgamate for protection.
