The Sun and other Celestial Formations/Phenomena
The Everwuld is a sphere wrapped in upon itself, with all of its celestial formations held in the center of the world, suspended in the center of the world, hanging high above the land below. It is believed that these bodies are being held in place through ancient divine magic, although some more academic sources contest this idea, rather speculating that the physical characteristics of the sun may cause an aura of force, holding everything in the world back, allowing for people to walk on the surface of the world and not fall into the center of the world, while also suspending the other celestial bodies such as the moons at a closer distance to itself due to their size and weight.
The Sun, also referred to as the Sea of Souls or Karmasuchi, is a massive radiant sphere of souls mixing and turning with pure source magic. It is believed that when someone dies, the Twinned escort their soul to the sun where its past experiences are wiped away in the turmoil, mixing with the souls of many others, until Atlus directs the soul to be reborn in a new body. As the day goes on, the sun slowly gains radiance, until noon, at which point its luster slowly dwindles, until the hour of midnight at which point the sun goes completely dark, plunging the world into darkness until it reignites again at the beginning of the next hour.
Luna, one of the moons of the Everwold, Luna appears in the sky as a pale blue sphere that slowly rotates around the sun. Astronomers believe the surface of this celestial body is covered in water due to its blue appearance and the way it shimmers in bright light.
Alzoc, a baren rocky moon, this moon is notably smaller than either Luna or Janus, leading some scholars to speculate that it may be made of significantly denser material than either.
Janus, this slate black moon is believed by some, to be the sleeping form of the ancient god of madness and the sea, Janus. Some believe that it is due to Janus's magical properties that the water of the seas grow choppy as it passes over them. Sailors often plan longer sea journeys around the rotations of Janus, striving to be off the sea by the time it passes over.
Celestial Phenomena:
There is a phenomena that has been observed called 'the Source River' where a heavy flow of source energy will be drawn up from the ground towards the sun. This results in what appears to be a river of glowing blue energy slowly snakes and winds from the ground up into the sky.
A 'Celestial Alignment' occurs when all three moons pass in front of each other creating a line of celestial bodies. This only occurs once every 2000 years, and while some mystics claim this is a sign of dooms, more scientifically minded individuals will note that plenty of 'dooms' have occurred when this isn't happening.
