Silas Stewart
Silas came to Prospect off of several mining operations, and old hand in the belt in Sol before moving to Eridani. He found himself running into the same problem wherever he went. He wanted to mine and make a living, but others weren't there so much for that purpose. Though he was sometimes foreman, sometimes project manager, sometimes even site manager- it was never his project. So whenever things became too sticky, he moved on.
He heard about Prospect and how it was miner owned from the bottom up, and thought it might be the place for him. It started out well enough, but as usual, things started to shift- a bit after Willard was elected. He's tried to be patient- to talk to the man to feel him out as a fellow member of the Black Seam Collective and more importantly as a fellow miner. But those talks convinced him that the man was either incompetent or corrupt- Silas wasn't able to figure out which. What he did figure out was the reasons didn't matter much. This was his place- he felt an attachment he'd not felt before, and with good people around him that have seen the blood, sweat and tears he's put in, and know his reputation from other sites, he's putting up opposition to Willard and his bloc. He's finding out that's a lot more dangerous than expected, but this time, he's not running.
