Rooke Cantu
Acquainted with Mercy - they first crossed paths when she helped maneuever him out of the way of a flash riot, and he bought her a drink algorithm at a local watering hole. They've become regular drinking buddies, each sharing stories of their past. Both worked on Pavarti on Venus long ago, which is one of their Touchstones.
Cargo Handler/Shift Leader
Rooke is obviously not from around here, though his orgins are hard to place. He came to Prospect for the quiet he's said, but his natural organizational skills and engineering skills got him noticed. As the highest ranking non-crewmember on deck, takes responsibility for a lot outside of just cargo handling- the shift leaders of each area work well together and take the approach that they're all working towards the same goal- a feeling fostered in them by Rooke. He has worked under Kimura for 5 years and has considerable respect for the Commander - a feeling that is reciprocated. Indeed, he admires Kimura to such a degree that he has modeled his own style of leadership on hers: firm, fair, and willing to go to the fullest degree in support of his crew.
However, when people under his responsibility are injured, threatened or killed, Tyrol becomes rather irrational, angry, and reckless in his actions, to the point of further endangering his people or his reputation with senior officers. His loyalty carries to off-duty, and he doesn't make friends or lovers carelessly.
