Gamma Level
The eight external storage tanks that give the station its unique profile are joined to the station and linked to each other at this level. The area is occupied by flow-control machinery and other apparatus used to monitor the tanks and their contents. The area is usually unmanned except during refueling maneuvers and routine maintenance.
