Lei Xiao
Born on Earth in a Chinese arcology, Lei was an infugee, forcibly uploaded during the Fall. She proved her worth in the mesh, working jobs in the system using her skills that she'd peddled as a contractor and influencer on Earth. An unlikely coincidence allowed her to be resleeved- she had a small following as an influencer on the rise, hustling her way through the cut throat industry. One of the Corps she worked for was a follower, and recognized the name. She entered into a relationship with him and he paid for a morph that looked like her former one from Old Earth. The relationship lasted a while, but having her in the flesh proved not to be as enticing as he'd thought, and she left to make her way- using her talents in many positions before finding her way to prospect. As one communications officer of the crew, she doesn't stand out- and that seems to be just the way she wants it- to leave her old life of seeking attention behind.
Having been given a chance, she tends to do that with others, though something holds her back from trusting too much. She is very patient, having learned that as an infugee.
