Luran Dynasty

The Dynasty has existed for a long time but for how long is something that many outsiders tend to wonder. Throughout its long history its seen plenty of hardships, be it man-made conflicts, tsunamis or giant rampages but always seem to come out stronger than ever. The Lurans have always had great pride in being able to be entirely self-sufficient without the need to trade with the rest of the region. To an unlearned outsider, the Luran dynasty might appear to be a pure magocracy where only those that wield magic could ever attain political power. Although it is common for the royal family to be wielders of either arcane or primal magic they are typically far from the land's strongest spellcasters.   However, magic is still highly valued inside the nation and any person adept at either arcane, primal or to a lesser extent, divine magic is sometimes found to be in a position of power. There is however another set of spellcasters, mostly one that is not charismatic but rather reclusive while still being brilliant. Instead of being praised and raised these people tend to be hidden in the outskirts of small villages and are often simply known colloquially as weird outsiders (although most townsfolk know of at least a part of their magical abilities.) despite their greater potential.
