The Crimson Legion
Structure
The Crimson Legion follows a fairly straightforward hierarchy:
At the top of the army of mercenaries is the Blood King, Krovash, who rules with an iron fist that none within the Legion dare question. The Legion itself is separated into a number of regiments, each with its own commander that answers directly to Krovash. The Crimson Legion uses each regiment for a specific purpose, and enemy factions typically encounter these regiments in a particular order: The Crimson Eye:
While it is unlikely that one will encounter a member of The Crimson Eye without being in The Legion themselves, it is safe to assume they are the first to move on The Legion's behalf. The Crimson Eye is dedicated to espionage and information-gathering. Rarely found in the camp of The Legion itself, they infiltrate major cities of the various nations and report back potential weak points in defenses or possible turncoats. The Crimson Claw:
The Crimson Claw specializes in acquisitions, capturing valuable hostages or assets for The Legion. They often work in conjunction with The Crimson Eye. What the Eye sees, the Claw retrieves. The Crimson Tongue:
The liaisons and harbingers of The Crimson Legion. If someone wants to deal with The Legion, they first meet with The Crimson Tongue. Similarly, before The Legion arrives at your doorstep, you will likely first be visited by The Crimson Tongue, who will give you the simple terms they give any enemy: Surrender to The Legion, or you will drown in the blood of your own people. The Crimson Flame:
The arcane specialists and artillery of The Legion. A regiment of destructive spell-casters and siege weaponry, The Crimson Flame will demolish and devastate enemy armies and strongholds before The Crimson Teeth enter the fray. The Crimson Teeth:
The last of the regiments comprises the majority of The Legion's forces. The Crimson Teeth are the last part of the war machine, the fighting force of the Blood King. Thousands upon thousands strong, they descend upon The Legion's enemies like a gaping maw, an ocean of blades and blood and fury.
