Domusanc Calidolis

Domusanc Calidolis controls the region of Iacalos, and the region defines the Domusanc more than anything else.   Iacalos is the most fertile region in Daeamorant, with terrain that allows a variety of crops to thrive. In addition to this, Iacalos is bordered by the Endless Sea on the Western side, allowing a number of port cities and fishing villages along the Western coast. There are several rivers which run through the region, as well as rolling hills that make the growing of wheat and raising of livestock easier than in other regions and forests which allow the harvesting of lumber.   Depending on who you ask, the answer of "which came first" will give you a different answer, but the connection between the bountiful region of Iacalos and the reverence of the people under Calidolis for Thaemenar is undeniable. Some would argue that the reason for this preference for Thaemenar is the fertile region inspiring devotion to a god of nature, but most in Iacalos would instead argue the opposite is true, and that the nurturing region is a reward for the people's reverence for the God of Growth.   Regardless of the truth, the people of Iacalos tend to be particularly courteous, albeit still sharing in the distrust that those in Daeamorant feel towards outsiders. Domusanc Calidolis, as an extension of this, has a reputation of generosity, being willing to provide aid to other regions when they fall on hard times. This does, however, cause some dissenting opinions among the common people as maintaining this reputation requires the Domusanc laying claim to a proportionally higher amount of the resources produced by the commoners.   Unsurprisingly, Iacalos has the largest population in Daeamorant, and its primary exports are livestock, grain, fruits and vegetables. It is one of the largest regions in Daeamorant, and contains the largest population of Wood Elves and Halflings in the country, though the population is still predominantly Human.
