The Ember of Humanity

The Ember of Humanity is currently a collection of 3 different novel series from 3 different regions in the word. I'm pondering the creation of a 4th and 5th novel series incorporating sites in North America and South America.

The Salt Remembers takes place in and around the Bay of Bengal, near Bangladesh. This series starts with Anja and Sami who are lone survivors in a post apocalyptic drowned world. Then builds to include a new family of survivors. Finally the novel will converge with The Sahelian Confederation and the Vertical Forests.

The Sahelian Confederation takes place in the Sahel region of Africa. It begins in a remote village with Kwame, Aminata, and their young daughter. Their village well runs dry and they escape to a remote area 2 days away. Ultimately their world view increases to a new colony of survivors. Then the story converges with The Salt Remembers and The vertical Forests.

The Vertical Forests takes place in China, near Shanghai. It begins with a lone survivor, Mei who is a bio-scavenger. She wakes early and performs a scavenging job, but is later offered a substantial reward that dives her into a world of cloak and dagger operations. She meets other survivors and together they bring down the current system and build a new one. Then they meet survivors from The Salt Remembers and The Sahelian Confederation to converge their stories.

Together all the survivors rebuild Earth and rediscover lost wonders. Through this discovery, they become a spacefaring civilization. The story doesn't end there though. It will continue into a new world I'll be building here. Stay tuned!!!
