Teklos
Teklos, the god of dreams and rest, loves to meddle in affairs, sometimes helping, sometimes hindering. A trickster at heart, he enjoys toying with people for his own amusement. While worship of Teklos is not common, it is not frowned upon, instead more often than not met with slight confusion. However, individuals suffering from nightmares or insomnia might ask Teklos for help. Whether they receive such help is mostly reliant on Teklos’ mood that day, where sometimes help comes immediately, and other times, nothing happens at all.
While Teklos is known as the god of both dreams and rest, the rest aspect is not meant entirely seriously. He is most certainly not seen as a calm or relaxed god, and rarely truly improves an individuals’ rest. He most likely would have the power to do so, but is known to be lazy or simply impartial to an individual’s well-being. Some sources even name him outright as the god of mischief and trickery, although all of his mischief manifests in dreams of one kind or another, so he usually gets recorded as the god of dreams.
The holy symbol of Teklos shows a hand that sticks out of a cloud, pointing downwards. It is quite a rare symbol to encounter in everyday life, and is as such not always immediately recognised by people.
Followers of Teklos are few and far between, but whenever they do pop up it is as tricksters or people who simply want to have a little bit of fun. Most of the time the pranks they pull are not mean or malicious, but they have on occasion caused quite the backlash.
