Ulfyre
Ulfyre is a land of near perpetual ice and snow. Sparsely populated midlands, the people of Ulfyre gather in small, but heavily fortified towns to defend themselves from the elements and the creatures that rise from the land, fighting to eke out a living. Long has war with the creatures of the Beast's Cradle been waged and at great cost, as monstrosities of earth and ice assault the living creatures of these northlands. Currently there is a peace between Edros and Ulfyre as they strive together to seal theCradle and stem the tide against them. Nearby Melus is also a strong ally to Ulfyre and provides ironwood to build ships and other goods, as well as being the main importer of silver from Ulfyre mines.
Ulfyre is a harsh land and many of its inhabitants are warriors and hunters who seek a life that will be remembered by others for all time, this has led to many of their greatest warriors being brought back as Draugur, the honored dead, who now fight in their undeath to defend Ulfyre from all manner of threats. They are maintained by the warrior druids, Dyrakappi (Drah-kap-pi), powerful shapeshifters and wielders of magic who guide their people spiritually as well as in battle. Some of these Dyrakappi are said to be the ancient ancestors of the great clans of Melus, while others disregard this as fact, there is admittedly many similarities in their practices.
Ulfyre in the Dreamweaver Isles
Currently Ulfyre has very little stakes in the Isles. Most of their attention is focused on sealing the Beast's Cradle and preventing the spread of elemental monstrosities across the northlands. This has not stopped ambitious raiders and entreprenuers from trying their hand at the riches hidden withing the Dreamweaver Isles, and some from trying to discover old magics within the ruins there to help back home. For now there is no official force in the Isles.Geography & Climate
Ulfyre is very mountainous and has many large forests that support the livelihoods of most of the people who live here. The rest of the settlements are spread amongst the coast lines and support themselves on fishing and raiding. Summers and springs are cool and still often include light snows, while autumn and winter are often harsh and freezing.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
