Nev-Amdral, The Chain Breaker
Wielded by Batu "Crystal Scales" Gon-Zorig, King of the Iron Crown mountains in Urdrax-Nar. The Chain Breaker is similar in shape to a scimitar, the hand guard and pommel have been replaced a number of times, however it is currently made of steel and inlaid with gold, silver, and amethysts. While it's blade is formed from several shards of the same strange crystal substance as the Crystal Stela. The sword is best known for the achievements of it's wielder, who rallied many of the wandering clans of Urdrax-Nar into a singular force to assault and claim the Iron Crown mountains, releasing the region from the warlord that ruled it before. This freed countless from forced mining camps and servitude, who would go on to form the largest and most cohesive tribal nation in Urdrax-Nar, the Gon-Zorig. This being only the largest of Batu's acomplishments, it is not his only campaign to free people held in servitude across Ressoria, and he is credited with the freedom of many for his role in Castión's conflicts against Vahied, and even several small uprisings in Eprana's caste system.
While the full extent of it's power is unknown, The Chain Breaker has displayed several magical qualities and abilities such as:
- Being near indestructible as well as having an unnaturally sharp edge
- The ability to channel lighting to enhance physical attacks, or be fired over a long distance to strike multiple targets
- Form crystal plates that enhance the survivability of the wielder
Crytsal Stela Research
Nev-Amdral, The Chain Breaker is one of the few weapons made from pieces of a Crystal Stela that scholars have been allowed to study. Although not granted unlimited access, a handful of discoveries have been made about the substance from this research opprotunity. The crystal substance is highly magic conductive, but only in this broken shard form. The reason is unknown, as a full Crystal Stela is magically inert, it is theorized that the shards might have been put through some sort of further process or transmutative form that its full form has not. Though this is not confirmed. In addition to this, the blade seems to lightly thrum to an unidentified frequency, but when transported to different plane of exsistence this thrumming ceases. While inconclusive, this has led to many theories that the crystal substance is tied to something only found on this material plane, or on only select planes of exsistence.Remove these ads.
