Cats

Cats are one of the most widespread species in the Dreamscape. They are a symbol of hope and are found throughout the entirety of the Dreamscape, aside from the Plateau of Leng, as well as on the exo-planet of Saturn.

History

Cats were a favored creation of the Animal Dreamer Zyphul, one of the 12 Great Dreamers. He created cats to provide order and hope to the growing people of the Dreamscape and spread them out across the Upper Lands. However he kept them away from the Plateau of Leng because of the evil residing there. Across the cycles these cats grew in number and were regarded as wise and thoughtful creatures who were to be respected. They populated cities such as Ulthar and were one of the few species that new of how large the Dreamscape was and how much life there was, but they choose to keep this information to themselves since they were never asked by the humans. When Zyphul was banished to the exoplanets for his crimes, he wished to bring his cats with him. The cats, fond of the comfortable lives they were living in the Upper Lands, choose to stay behind sending Zyphul into a range. At the exoplanet Uranus, he worked to recreate his species. His mind was warped though, leading to this new species offset being created with a sense of anger towards their elder kind as well as two tails, three eyes, and purple fur. These creatures, the Cats of Saturn, began establishing their civilization in hopes of learning how to traverse back to the Dreamscape and wage war. After cycles upon cycles of working they created a way to travel to the Dreamscape. As soon as they arrived they began waging war on the Upper Land Cats marking the start of the Ebesson Era. They warred for cycle after cycle until the Cat General of Ulthar forced the Cats of Saturn back to the exoplanets. However they continued to have occasional fights up until the present.
