Bin-Ling Massacre
The Bin-Ling Massacre was a tragic event that occurred in the village of Bin-Ling, located in the region controlled by the Lion's Share Confederacy. The massacre was carried out by a group of Confederacy soldiers, who brutally murdered dozens of native folk in the village, including women and children.
The massacre was the result of a number of factors, including a long-standing tension between the Confederacy and the native folk of the area, which was once part of the Manzia Expanse, as well as the Confederacy's aggressive expansionist policies. The native folk had long resented the presence of the Confederacy and the foreigners who had arrived on their shores, and tensions had been growing for some time.
In the weeks leading up to the massacre, the Confederacy had been pushing into the region of Bin-Ling, setting up new trading posts and imposing its laws and customs on the native folk. This sparked a number of clashes between the Confederacy soldiers and the native folk, who were determined to defend their land and their way of life.
On the day of the massacre, a group of Confederacy soldiers arrived in the village of Bin-Ling, demanding that the native folk surrender their land and submit to the rule of the Confederacy. When the native folk refused, the soldiers demanded that they surrender their weapons as well. However, the native folk refused to give up their weapons, which were essential for their survival in the harsh and unforgiving wilderness.
In response to the refusal, the Confederacy soldiers began a brutal attack on the village, killing anyone who resisted or tried to flee. The massacre lasted for hours, and when it was over, dozens of native folk lay dead or dying in the streets.
The Bin-Ling Massacre was a horrific and tragic event, and it sparked widespread outrage and condemnation among the native folk of the Dragon Isles. In response to the massacre, the Confederacy established the Council of Gold, in an attempt to establish tighter control on the military and to seemingly address the concerns of the native folk and prevent further violence and conflict. However, the damage had already been done, and the massacre remains the start of the current dark chapter in the history of the Lion's Share Confederacy.
While the Confederacy and the natives of the Isles have fought and clashed blades many times before, this was the first time innocents were brutally murdered in a situation where the natives were not putting up a fight.
