The Dragon Empire

It is the 21st of Harmony; the Year of Shadows 526. Though few realize it, we are now reaching the final days of the 13th Age... And perhaps, the final days of the Dragon Empire as we know it.   The Emperor's hold on the lands he rules is weakening. From the North the Orc Lord marches, his purpose unknown, to the East the monsters of the Iron Sea begin to slowly gather in strength. To the South the Abyss begins to grow wider, as the Great Gold Wyrm begins failing in his suicidal task of keeping the rift sealed - and all the while the Diabolist opens dozens of smaller Hellholes in the accursed Cairnwood to the West.   The Lich King continues to plot his vengeance-fueled 'reclamation' of the land from his Necropolis, and the High Druid simply waits as she looks for more signs of the Cycle's turning. The Three are doing Gods-know-what in their city of Drakenhall, and the Elf Queen and Dwarf King find themselves forced to focus on the needs of their own peoples.   The Priestess, the Crusader, and the Archmage all plot and scheme to fulfill their own goals, and as for the Prince of Shadows... Well, even the gods cannot tell you what they are doing.
