The Temple of the Sun
The high priestess of the temple, greets the sunrise each day, awaiting the next rebirth of Bealdor the High - God of the Sun, as is signified by each new day.
She carefully tends to the Temple through ritualized practices - lighting candles, burning sanctified incense, and so on. She meditatively carries out her duties, reflecting on the tenets of perpetual rebirth. The priestess carries with her a palpable presence of tranquility.
The temple itself features a simple layout. Numerous archways in the curved outer wall are designed to welcome sunlight and parishioners alike. Inside, three wide stone terraces descend toward the center of the temple, creating a simple amphitheater setting where people can sit and gather. The priestess stands on an elevated dais, behind which are a few simple rooms that contain the temple's ritual objects and items of religious importance.
The temple displays imagery of sunrises and sunsets throughout - in the form of hanging tapestries, as well as decorative idols and artifacts.
