Cities of the Empyrean

The Empyrean was a realm nearly as dangerous as its former ruler. Founded in the ancient days by the gods themselves, it has a proud history - claiming to be no less than the birthplace of human civilization. Though once heavily settled, it is now dominated more by crumbling ruins than cities.   Aside from the vast metropolis of Pyr, only three other settlements of note stand in the realm - the imposing martial training grounds of the Red Academy, the bone-strewn hill of the Grand Necropolis, and the shining pleasure gardens of Glory. Even these three, though populated in their fashion, resemble mockeries of cities more than cities themselves- each being built, maintained, and populated at the command of the Empyrean to fulfill an explicit need.
