Gundabah Sarill

Gundabah Sarill

Gundabah Sarill was the first Raja of Katrapetch. He was responsible for establishing the nucleus of the first Court Circle of Katrapetch in 9642 BPC, an instrument of government for the city which dates its foundation to the same year.   Gundabah is credited with providing improved security in northern Punjuki which helped trading and aided the development of the early phryne markets in the city. He choked to death at an official banquet in 9611 BPC, a rumoured poisoning which was never proven. Dying without an heir led to a messy contest for succession, from which Lortheran Gold emerged as the victor.

Mental characteristics

Sexuality

Gundabah Sarill was openly homosexual and his long term partner was a warrior and apparently one of considerable renown called Enke Rye. Apart from his name, though, no other details have come down to us about this partner. Homosexuality, though not common, was a generally accepted orientation at the time and did not cause problems for the Raja. It did cause a problem for the state, however, since it left him without offspring, meaning that his death led to a struggle for the leadership of the relatively recently established power that was Katrapetch.
