Interstellar Horizon Humanitarian Force

Who are The IHHF?

The Interstellar Horizon Humanitarian Force (IHHF) is an organization that travels throughout the Delta Space, providing humanitarian and caretaking aid to those in need, no matter where they are located and regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in. Whether it be war, political tensions, or environmental disaster, if you are in dire need, the IHHF will assist you at no cost.   The IHHF is a large independent organization, funded by private investment and donations, that operates dozens of campaigns at a given time. They specialize in assisting the sick, disabled, and the elderly and are well equipped to help in most situations. Each campaign has various squads of aid providers assigned and deployed to deal with the situation at hand. Each of their groups consists of various medical experts, all of whom have their own specialties tailored to the situation, though all are trained in general aid practice.   What sets the IHHF apart from other humanitarian aid groups is that they are all combat-trained and ready. When the IHHF has pledged to give aid, they will do so even if they have to engage in combat to reach those they have sworn to give aid to. This is why the IHHF refuses to categorize itself as peacekeepers, as peace is not their goal, the intentions of whatever war they have entered is not their concern, only those that they are seeking to aid. The IHHF have, on occasion, ended a conflict, though it has always been inadvertent and not their express goal. And no war is too big for them to enter into, either; they have even found themselves amongst the disputed territories being fought over The Ka’yar Civil War.

Conflict Enders

While it is not the express goal of the IHHF to end conflicts or to knowingly become involved in either side of a conflict, they do their best to remain neutral; they have, in some rare circumstances, been the catalyst or direct reason behind the end of a conflict. This has garnered them some poor opinions, as those who support the group believe that if they have the ability and means to end a conflict, they should have a greater responsibility in doing so. And on the opposite side, particularly from political entities and corporations, who feel that the IHHF have no right in ever engaging in a conflict that has nothing to do with them, as it could unintentionally sway the battle, war, or conflict in an undesirable direction.   The IHHF have had a hand in various conflicts regardless however, particularly in the ongoing Ka’yar Civil War in which they are deployed frequently. Crossing back and forth between the contest borders of the two warring territories, landing in tense war zones, and actively engaging in firefights with both sides, depending on whom they are trying to reach and aid.   This has caused much concern, especially amongst the Representative Democracy of Liberation, which has stated many times that they would part and allow the IHHF to pass if they were to be sent prior notice. But the IHHF has a strict no-contact rule with any group that is actively engaged in a war or battle, stressing their neutrality to the extreme. A controversial approach, but one the leaders of the IHHF say is necessary.   In other, smaller events, like skirmishes between rival gangs and pirates in O.Sec F, the IHHF have been known to enter the fray with the intent to pass through, only to destroy or scuttle all combatants on either side. Effectively ending the conflict. Such is their expertise and confidence in battle.
Summary
The Interstellar Horizon Humanitarian Force (IHHF) is a large, independent organization operating in the Delta Space, dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and caretaking to those in need, regardless of circumstances or location. Funded by private investment and donations, the IHHF specializes in assisting the sick, disabled, and elderly across dozens of simultaneous campaigns. What distinguishes the IHHF is their combat readiness; they will engage in conflict to reach those they aim to help, refusing to be categorized as peacekeepers because their sole focus is aid, not mediating or ending conflicts, though they have inadvertently done so on occasion.   Despite facing scrutiny from political bodies and corporations for entering territories without bureaucratic approval, the IHHF often ignores such complaints. This "no-nonsense" approach is popular with the public, who prioritize the IHHF's life-saving efforts over formal procedures. While maintaining strict neutrality and a "no-contact" rule with warring factions, the IHHF's frequent deployments, even in major conflicts like the Ka'yar Civil War, have sometimes led to them inadvertently ending conflicts by overpowering combatants to achieve their mission.
Legitimacy
The IHHF have come under scrutiny countless times in their years of operation, especially from territorial political bodies and corporations who aren't too pleased when they enter into their conflicts uninvited. The accusations are often centred around the company's legitimacy, with governing bodies accusing the group of not passing or even engaging with the necessary bureaucracy of legally entering their territory, especially in war times. Corporations have similar complaints, with the IHHF often entering into various stations, buildings, etc. that are owned and operated by them without express permission.   The accusations are typically ignored, both by the IHHF itself and by the public. Most citizens love the IHHF and their no-nonsense approach to humanitarian aid, as ignoring the requests of overbearing political bodies and corporations often saves them considerable time and effort, which can then instead go towards saving lives.
