General Summary

The Deadpoint Drift | Vol 5 Issue 8

From the Desk of Jill Cannirunnipelt

Breaking news: Adventurers scouted deep into Dorbard South, dispatched several of the menacing Sombrés, and observed that the creatures not only weren't swimming, but do not seem to like the water at all! Will this impact the voting for the Culdarian Economic Exchange's investment pledge? Mere days ago gossip was rife about the impending threat of beaching undead. Time shall tell.

As interesting as the content of the news are the deliverers. No one should be surprised to see Skamos Ea sail out and back from the wild north, but joining him on this adventure was our very own Bakka, lifelong citizen of Deadpoint.

When asked why he'd taken on such risk, Bakka cites spiritual inspiration, invoking the ancient aspect of Bayth: "Bayth is the mysterious god of the Mhoon (sp?), a celestial body that control the Tydes."

"I'm quite sure she exists," added Skamos. Evidently the pair spotted (or thought they spotted) evidence of this god in or on The Dip, a relatively placid bay in the middle of Dorbard South.

Discovery of an underground structure

The pair unearthed a proper labyrinth of thin rectangular hallways under the hills of Dorbard South. Within were some aggressive wildlife, along with a pair of the dreaded ogre zombies and a family of agreeable Kobolds, who feed on rats and fish. The place is partially flooded, with many holes or passageways that appear to go deeper than what was mapped and explored.

"This smells even fishier," remarks Skamos, perhaps in reference to his previous adventures on Foxspint Isle. Perhaps he simply means the market upwind.
