Pirates to the east, zombies to the west
General Summary
The Deadpoint Drift | Vol 5 Issue 7
From the Desk of Jill Cannirunnipelt
Though our town now enjoys the rumble of early expansion, with new housing going up and revelry almost nightly at The Kedge, this spark comes with a price. On another foray out to Foxspint Isle, Karick Stahland along with Tiefling pair Oregano and Skamos Ea confirmed the presence of thugs and mercenaries.
They'd traveled to Stalker's Cove and come across the home of Miss Kite, a fisherwoman that many of us know as an occasional visitor and most northern permanent resident in these parts. Several armed intruders had accosted her dwelling, evidently of a marauding clan known as the Red Spinnakers. There was violence, but all of our folk, including Miss Kite—survived.
These hostile elements, in addition to Dorbard South's swimming zombie problems, exemplify the risks in probing the wild seas and lands of the Delta. Doubtlessly, they are but a sample of what else will come.
Foxspint exploration continues
In less troubling reports, the trio stopped in at the old abandoned lighthouse on the southern Pinball island to no avail. They also tackled some sea creatures in the Foxspint marshes and explored a ruined cloister near the Nameless Mine. Goodbear from The Kedge extends his thanks for the fresh frog legs.
Per these adventurers, Karick advises, "Never trust a mime."
Skamos, potentially the mime in question, says, "It smells fishy in here." He also states for the public record that his moniker is now 'The Seaman Destroyer.' No further comments.
Adhoc council set to vote
Adventurers are encouraged to read over the Culdarian Economic Exchange proposal ideas—details are posted outside the Guidelight's office. They've been awarded 10x voting power for their massive contributions to our development. Choices include:
- Building a windmill
- Expand & reinforce the docks
- Accelerate housing construction
- Immigration campaign at Port Tessalad
- Develop a zombie patrol
Holiday confirmed for 15 Resting Summer
Ten Adventurers will be honoured and celebrated at the fairgrounds outside of The Kedge and Marketplace. The Culdarian Economic Exchange will present them with the title of Waterfan Sailblazer and a gift each. Hereafter, this day will be known as Hero's Herald —a statutory holiday in Deadpoint dedicated to the celebration and recruitment of Adventurers.
The Drift is moving!
But not too far! We've set up our space in the Town Centre thanks to increased demand. Correspondents for Adventurers and Port Tessalad distribution wanted! See Jill Cannirunnipelt for inquiries.
