Love and adventure on the Full Summer Seas

General Summary

The Deadpoint Drift | Vol 5 Issue 4

From the Desk of Jill Cannirunnipelt

I think it's official. For the first time in our sleepy history, Deadpoint is now something of a destination.

Three more adventurers (Blue Bell, Mo Noodles, Oregano) showed up in the middle of the Swelling Summer, and with them they brought, respectively:

  • swashbuckling tales of a notorious pirate by the name of Jack Sparrow,
  • the widest variety of homecooked noodles this reporter has ever heard tell of, and
  • an insatiable need to par-tay.

Amid all of this, Golf of Juice and Limsbald the ferrymaster were engaged, and then married. Yep, you read that correctly. More incredibly, perhaps, is where they tied the knot.

The fleet grows

While the Aquan Vorwash vessel Dagger Squall has been a common sight off our shores since the beginning of the year, most don't consider it a town ship. But during all these festivities about town, the resident adventurers, by No Luck Nick's lead, have commissioned their own little boat, a Light Foamcutter dubbed The Thyme of Your Life, courtesy of the CEE.

Fittingly, before its maiden voyage, Captain Blue Bell performed the marriage ceremony, on 1 Full Summer, the evening before the crew set sail for Dorbard North. What a party it was. The town, in high spirits, wishes them well.

Major update as of 8 Full Summer: a near miss with complete disaster!

Other news

Not to end on a dour note, but it would seem that more than a few people have either sighted or heard of sightings of lumbering beasts attempting to swim the channel between us and Dorbard South. Naturally, it is thought that the Sombrés—the undead ogres—might be mounting an offensive. Song-sang Louland of the 'Wash assures me that we are secure as secure can be with her detachment on site.

That said, keep your wits about you!

Rewards Granted

  • Kills: 2 modded ochre jellies = 800XP total, 160XP each
  • Extra 40XP intrigue bonus each: sheer bravery/recklessness in taking on the currents in a Light Foamcutter.
