Moonflower

"Moonflowers grow only near the dead and the dying. Just touching one is enough to dull the senses and exhaust the mind. Consuming one would likely be much worse."   Moonflowers are a light emitting plant that grows only in the Dark Forest. Both the flowers and light they emit is light pink in color. The flowers are large, low to the ground, and grow in large colonies that cover the area, leading to them commonly being mistaken for a fire when viewed from between the trees.   Frequently seen as a sign of the dead, it's forbidden to touch a moonflower. Their leaves contain a toxin that dulls the senses when touched. For this reason, forest folklore says that moonflowers are given as a final gift to those passing to the afterlife, to ease the pain of their passing.
