Lilim Series Homunculus

A being birthed not from a womb, but from a test tube. Lilim series homunculi are the result of breakthroughs in research, the creative genius, and the personal ambitions of two individuals: Savarti Darkthorn and Cassius Az'Reald Darkthorn. The Lilim series tout an impressive improvement over the previous generation of 'Savarti' butler homunculi in that they are capable of having a soul of their own, and thus are capable of learning and growing at a pace unmatched by the previous models.   Lilim series homunculi are all female, as Cassius refused to participate in the research unless he could dictate the form in which the organism would take. In keeping with Savarti's goals and preferences, all units are configured to operate as the ultimate servants. As such, all models are configured with a baseline understanding of their duties as 'Maids'. Cassius mass produced these maids to meet Savarti's specifications, using the same form factor and only making minor adjustments to the design, and a great number of them can still be found scattered around the Shattered world of Toril.   While there are no documented cases of successful impregnation nor child-birth with a Lillim series, these creatures do have all the necessary organic systems to enable reproduction. This was argued by Cassius as a necessary requirement in order to house and grow a soul. Though many contradictory theories and philosophies have sprung forth as to the origin of 'life' for these units, none of the experts within the field of Soul studies have directly refuted Cassius' claims. As such, these units should still qualify as under the basic understanding of a 'Sapient Species'.

age: A typical lillim unit is between two and thirty years old. The maximum lillim unit lifespan remains a mystery; so far, lillim units have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. Lillim units are immune to magical aging effects.

Feature: Size

Your size is Medium. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier:
  • Size modifier = 2d8
  • Height = 4 feet + 8 inches + your size modifier in inches
  • Weight in pounds = 250 + (4 × your size modifier)

Feature: Constructed Resilience (Lilim)

You were created to have remarkable fortitude to protect and serve your master, represented by the following benefits:
  • You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
  • You are immune to disease.
  • Magic can’t put you to sleep.

Feature: Fighting Style (Lilim)

Each Lilim unit is built and installed with a martial combat capability and specialty to serve and protect their masters, lords, and guests with deadly efficiency. As a result, each Lilim unit is equipped with a unique fighting style to make optimum use of its talents, skills, and tactical role in its duty to serve.   Choose one of the following options. You can’t take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again.  

Archery

You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons.  

Blind Fighting

You have blindsight with a range of 10 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.  

Defense

While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.  

Dueling

When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.  

Great Weapon Fighting

When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.  

Interception

When a creature you can see hits a target, other than you, within 5 feet of you with an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage the target takes by 1d10 + your proficiency bonus (to a minimum of 0 damage). You must be wielding a shield or a simple or martial weapon to use this reaction.  

Protection

When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.  

Superior Technique

You learn one maneuver of your choice from among those available to the Battle Master archetype. If a maneuver you use requires your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects, the saving throw DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice).You gain one superiority die, which is a d6 (this die is added to any superiority dice you have from another source). This die is used to fuel your maneuvers. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.  

Thrown Weapon Fighting

You can draw a weapon that has the thrown property as part of the attack you make with the weapon. In addition, when you hit with a ranged attack using a thrown weapon, you gain a +2 bonus to the damage roll.  

Two-Weapon Fighting

When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second attack.  

Unarmed Fighting

Your unarmed strikes can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier on a hit. If you aren’t wielding any weapons or a shield when you make the attack roll, the d6 becomes a d8.At the start of each of your turns, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to one creature grappled by you.  

Feature: Duty to Serve

When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.   In addition, a lillim unit that is considered 'dead' can be revived at any time without the use of True Revival, so long as the primary Body is intact. If the Primary body is not intact and only a portion remains, equal parts of Mercury, purified water, salt, bones, fresh blood, and fresh flesh that is ritually included as part of the revival may also be used to supplement the weight of missing components to the body. Market rates may vary based upon the rarity of the materials within a locality, but this can typically be done at a rate of 15gp for every 6 pounds of missing body material in a well-stocked trading town.  

Feature: Expertly Crafted Profesional Service

You gain one skill proficiency and one tool proficiency of your choice. Choose one skill or tool proficiency that which you possess. You gain expertise with that skill. The skill you choose must be one that isn’t already benefiting from a feature, such as Expertise, that doubles your proficiency bonus.  

Feature: Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
