Combat Maid

BACKGROUND: COMBAT MAID

Since a very young age, you have been taken into an elite noble house of a high-ranking official and trained in the ways of a combat maid. You have learned a wide variety of skills to serve and protect your master while under the guise as one of their most trusted and respected servants. There are a wide variety of Combat Maids, each with their own unique set of skills honed to perfection to best provide service to their masters.  

Spelljammer Campaign

Cassius and Arcadia have been preparing for their eventual departure from Toril into the worlds beyond this Realmspace. They have traveled the shattered lands, looking for resources and clues that could help prepare them for the perils they will face, and have instilled that knowledge into the crew members intended to accompany them on their journey. With that in mind, the combat maids they have brought along with them have been trained to operate as the officers of their spelljamming vessel, a SCARAB class ship called 'Eve'.

A pair of hairpins (Darts), a set of traveler’s clothes with the appearance of a maid's outfit, a concealable weapon holster or compartment integrated into your outfit, and a pouch containing 10 gp  

FEATURES

Blend into the Background

You were trained to blend into the background when in the presence of nobles, high-level officials, and their armies of servants they have at their beck and call. You have spent so much time doing this as part of your everyday duties that you can naturally and immediately slip into the hustle and bustle of servants working in a manor or a hosting a big event. You have advantage when trying to perform stealth, deception, or sleight of hand skill checks while in an environment with a 5 or more servants.  

Perfected Combat Training

Select a single martial weapon or exotic weapon to become proficient in. You may utilize that weapon with any race or class features you gain.

You have a debt to your master, or one of the other servants who took you in and trained you to become a Combat Maid, that is so immense and deeply ingrained into your psyche, that it is inescapable. This can come as a sense of gratitude, fear, or some other emotion, but the bond is so great that you have staked your very life on serving them even at the expense of your own freedom.  

FLAW

You have an ingrained desire to protect your master and their interests, to the death if need be. This does not mean that you always agree with the path your master walks or the actions they perform, but rather that your actions are always informed by your own assessment of what is best for your master.
