Corkscrew Owl

Basic Information
Anatomy
Averaging a mere six inches high, the corkscrew owl is a tiny creature. Its feathers are so thin and fine that they resemble fur unless examined closely, and its wings blend almost perfectly into its sides when folded. Like their mundane cousins, corkscrew owls have enormous eyes that take up most of their head, and no trouble seeing in the dark.
Genetics and Reproduction
Pairs of corkscrew owls return to solitary life once their clutches of 4-5 eggs hatch.
Growth Rate & Stages
Corkscrew owlets average only three to four inches high, but quickly catch up to their adult kin.
Ecology and Habitats
Perhaps because their calls are so soft, corkscrew owls are drawn to placid, quiet spaces. Like most fey, they prefer natural environments that allow freedom of movement.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Like most fey, corkscrew owls don't seem to require food, but have demonstrated a sweet tooth nonetheless.
Behaviour
Corkscrew owls compulsively translate any language they are exposed to. However, the owl selects what language to translate into seemingly at random.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Corkscrew owls can speak every language perfectly, as far as any naturalist has been able to tell. However, they doesn't seem to understand any of them.
