The Cathanti
As the Gnomes were corrupted by the energy of the fey, so too were the goliaths. They were left, in many ways, lesser, losing the intellect that they are famed for, becoming brutal creatures that rely more on physical strength and size. Standing at a minimum of six feet tall(and in some rare cases known to grow up to twenty), the Cathanti are better known in most of the world as Bridge Trolls. They are naturally aggressive, attacking those who attempt to cross their bridges without paying the toll. If I may offer one piece of advice, it is this: do not fight the Cathanti. Pay the toll, or go around.

Culture and cultural heritage
The Cathanti are most closely related to the nomadic goliaths of the craglands, from which they are descended. They still adorn their skin with various plant-based paints, and still sing songs similar to those of their ancestors(though theirs have an odd, otherworldly echo to them that seems to emanate from the fey), but they no longer build their homes of whatever they can find in the environment. Instead, they live in homes built on the undersides of the bridges they guard. When they need to move locations, they take their bridges with them.
Shared customary codes and values
The Cathanti have an odd obsession with protecting borders. They will often set up on the political border between two nations, and have an odd ability to find these borders even without a map. They can also occasionally be found near rifts that act as a border between our world and others.
Common Etiquette rules
When approaching a bridge, keep a look out for the toll collectors. They will be ordinary looking folk, about the size of the average Goliath, standing at the edge of the bridge and shouting demands for 'donations.' The payment to cross depends on the size of the bridge, varying from a few gold to amounts that even the richest nobles would consider unreasonable.
Art & Architecture
The Cathanti, though they might be savages, still have some memory of their old traditions. This can be seen in how they choose to adorn their bridges and the homes that hang beneath them.
