Tua Janin
Tua Janin is the Elven nation on the southern end of the Island Continent of Bellflower. It is one of the most prosperous and strong of the nations on the continent.
Structure
It is a strict Hierarchy of nobles from the King on down. With currently fourteen Viscounts, thirty seven Dukes, and over a hundred Counts. They also have a wide variety of knights and strong mages.
Culture
They are primarily an elvish nation with high elvish culture. They wear leathers and long skirt like garments known as ka robes. They enjoy bright colors for the leathers, with yellow and soft reds being especially popular.
Public houses with alcohol are popular, as are stringed instruments and the playing of music. Most common announcements are written in tight script and posted at the public houses.
Common celebrations include the summer water festival called Na Hon. It is celebrated with grilled meats, Water Jousting tournaments and elaborate headwear. While most of the culture has gender neutral clothing, this is a time where men will often just wear loincloths in competitions and the women with short Ka robes.
Another festival is the harvest festival of Tua Hon. It is held late in the year almost to the end of the year. It involves pageantry, and the luck granting ritual of the long dance. It is also known for it's foretelling of the next year.
Trade & Transport
They have large herds which provide meat and leather which they export. They also grow large amounts of flax, which they use for linen as well as flaxseed meal. While flaxseed is mostly consumed locally mixed with wheat flour for buns or in buckwheat soup, the linen is well exported. Most things they are able to make for themselves, though stone is often imported.
Infrastructure
Buildings are often multi-story and made with wood, compacted clay, and stone. This mixed building material strategy makes for a variety of buildings with shapes and sizes. Exterior doors are commonly strong banded wood, with more interior doors being fabric.
