Tin Hou
The Kingdom of Tin Hou is rules by the Dwarven King Helimix of the Kako Dwarves. This kingdom was once a province of the old Minam Empire. It originally was more of a republic, but since the recent upheavals it was reformed into a kingdom almost eighty years ago after the Elven War of Reprisal and Purges from the Church of the Earthstar.
While not the most populated, it houses one of the most powerful militaries on the continent. Specifically in its siege engineering ranks.

Structure
The Kingdom is organized into Dutchies and then into Counties. With towns of significant size being sub-divided into Bailies. Each level has it's own enforcers, many of which are informal militias of citizens. In fact it is required for every noble to undergo military training by law. Most dwarves themselves will practice some form of training as a matter of national pride.
Culture
The large cities are a mix of above ground and below ground structures. While much of the above ground areas was razed during the war, the rubble has been used to build watchtowers and animal pens. Many buildings underground feel like towers as multi-level building is a matter of course.
Women often wear skirts with bright patterns out of rough linen. While men often wear fitted jackets of cotton weaves. Mens patterns are more often repeated and layered borders in analogous color schemes.
King Helimix's birthday is in the spring and his role as a general saving the city in the War of Reprisal is celebrated. Typically with war re-enactments, grand patriotic displays and parades are had. Sometimes with some individuals dressed as an elf on stilts "running away" at the head of the parade.

Demography and Population
The population is over half dwarven, the remainder is mixed. There are some dwarves that are quite opposed to both Elves and Humans. The Peoples Foundation against Giants is particularly harsh and encourages adherents to implement doors, ceilings and other architecture to be hostile to the taller sentients. So gnomes and halflings are more universally well received in the cities. Some of the outside towns are populated by elves, humans, and orcs.
