Dragon Stone

It is believed in myth that Dragons began here at the Dragon Stone. The stone itself is a giant red and black streaked stone within a huge chamber. The chamber is limited to only being visited by Dragons and it's location is a closely guarded secret. Most scholars have a consensus it is located within the realm of Forest Heart, likely within the Northern blue mountains. Since the Dragon Imperium they have been heavily populated with dragons which makes them a likely location.
While the surface of the Dragon Stone occupies a large central chamber, several side and lower chambers also have protrusions. These are known as the Visions Chamber, Mating Chamber and Meditation Chamber. Other chambers of note include the Conference Chamber and Anteroom. There are also about a hundred lairs in a series of upper and lower chambers. Several support chambers and portals are maintained for services and food. Apparently there is a servant class that is completely mindless that completes tasks but unable completely to know how to release the location of the base at all.
Many stories circle about if humans or elves have even been to the stone, most saying only a few select heroes ever have glimsed it. Several smaller stones are said to be shards from the parent Dragon Stone, and are often worked into magic items. Dragons covet these as draconic property not to ever be in the hands of other races.

Localized Phenomena

Dragon's energies are revitalized and strengthened in proximity to the stone. This includes Draconic Fertility and so it is a spot commonly used by dragons for mating. With the lower birth rate among dragons in the last several thousand years this is an important function. Of course some is more draconic apathy, not impacted by any other factor.

Climate

This underground cave is strange in the fact that what ever dragons are currently inhabiting nearby caverns will alter the climate. Sometimes is is near freezing, other times hot and humid or smelling of ozone.

Fauna & Flora

The crazy variation of climate leads to only the heartiest plants. Typically glowing fungus and some creeping vines.
