Bicolor Wide Hats

With limited supplies and lots of rain the wide brim hat worked very well for outdoors work of the RRR Troop. They intermittent supply of the same types of leathers led to the mixing of multiple leathers to make the hats. Each leather being of different color and patina led to some unique color patterns as part of the style even when more consistent leather became available.
Hats have become a cultural touchstone for Averlinites beyond their home culture and even those without the specific bicolor wide brim hats have adopted decorative hat wearing as a source of community pride and differentiation. Many made of fabric stick with the bicolor motif's made popular with the recoverists.
