Beastfolk

Beastfolk are the catchall term for unusual mammalian sentients. Most have limited range and many are on the verge of extinction. This category includes everything from centaurs, minotaurs, rabbit folk, cat folk, rhino folk etc. It also includes the dog-like kobolds while the lizard like ones are categorized with the Reptiloids. Most beastfolk have a singluar culture or integrate into nearby cultures. Cat folk, dog-like kobolds, and minotaurs being exceptions.
The most unifying condition is that these species are unable to cross bread in most cases, this means their genetic pool is fairly limited and it can de difficult to find a mate outside their original village or enclave. Currently the most successful of these beastfolk are the Centaurs and Minotaurs. They are cloely follwed by the shorter lived small races who do a descent job of procreating fast enough to stave off death in a harsh world.
Of note the Minotaurs have a great city built far off in a seperate private plane of existance which has allowed them to flourish much better than most. This is similar with the centaurs, who get along well with elves and fairy and are siad to have communities in the fae realm itself.
