Artificial Sentients

There are multiple types of sentients who have artificial bodies. These include sentient golems and forged mechanicals. They tend to have similar features; spirit cores being the most common. The methods of creation differ, and it is know fully understood how they become sentient. Some use spirit cores fueled by elemental creatures, others by some devine or profane construction. On rare cases they seem to be able to contain spirits implanted into them from other individuals, it doesn't guarantee memories are also transferred.

There is a special category of artificials that are plant based. It seems that animalistic plants are not uncommon, but truely sentient ones are rare. They also have implanted spirit cores, often implanted by their "parents". The known exception are the Fungaloids, who appear somewhat sentient without any spirit cores.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Being artificial they do not need sleep, but they tend to function better with periods of inactivity. This equivalence makes it so they seem more like the common species of sentients. For convenience sake socially, artificials will "sleep" during the normal hours humans do.

Dietary Needs and Habits

All artificials need some power ingestion, though this varies wildly. It can also be highly intermittent, only requiring sustenance every few years in some cases.

Behaviour

Artificals exhibit very strange behaviors in general. Specifically they have a hard time understanding biological processes, sex ,or gender. So it is common for them to have multiple phobias and philias.

Phobias

  1. Pediophobia - fear of dolls
  2. Phobophobia - fear of fear/phobias - that is illogical
  3. Oikophobia - fear of household appliances/objects - especially ones they can't use
  4. Anthrophobia - fear of people (being in company of) - so emotional
  5. Phobias of specific - common or uncommon sentient species
  6. Defecaloesiophobia - fear of bowel movements - what is that all about?
  7. Ephebiphobia - fear of teenagers - what do you mean "childhood" or not fully grown?
  8. Pogonophobia - fear of beards
  9. Philemaphobia - fear of kissing -why, just why?
  10. Necrophobia - fear of death/the dead/corpses/undead - reassembale Stephan!

Philias - unusual fascination /love of

  1. Trypophilia - love of holes - what are they for?
  2. Amychophilia - love of being scratched
  3. Decidophilia - love of making decisions
  4. Pogonophilia - love of beards
  5. Heterophilia - love of the opposite sex - why are the different and strange?
