Commercialization of Starlite

Technological achievement

HEXPOL TPE GMBH holds a press conference in front of the first building for Starlite Solutions in Germany. They announce the beginning of production and sales of the famous Starlite material, in conjunction with the Ward Estate. They astound the press by performing blow torch demonstrations right there on the outdoor platform, and perform the famous "raw blowtorched egg" trick.
